On the first look I was really amazed by the global texture and colors of this picture, which are outstanding.

Capturing this scene from behind is a great idea, as we can see almost no faces, just a crowd, mixed all together.

The main caracter is well focused and lightened, but perhaps it would have been better to see it in the middle with a wider angle and from a lower point of view, with a shorter depth of field.

But in the end, it's pretty well done, the whole picture is coherent and makes one feel into it when looking at it.

I absolutely love how, even though the mass of this is the same colors and the people, in the same areas, have the same coloration, it's not just a big blob. Each person stands out, they're not all lost in the background. :)

I agree with =Gregos' critique when he says "Capturing this scene from behind is a great idea, as we can see almost no faces, just a crowd, mixed all together". Also, the man with the arms up was a great touch to the scene where one can imagine the power/symbolism of the songs they're chanting.

This is an absolutely stunning image, thanks to the way you captured and the natural surrealism in the scene.

I'm really impressed, well done and +fav, I wish for more people to see this!

Ha,it's funny how you captured them still with the full colours. Back home when we played Holi, everyone looked maroon after a while .

I love the main subject's exuberance - it shows the real meaning behind the holiday :)
